Data gathering and reporting

One of the largest ship owners in the world uses SMS document management and i-Forms for implementing management systems for Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001) and Safety (ISM Code).

It is an integrated system incorporating Group and individual subsidiary requirements. Office locations around the world access the system using the Internet/intranet, and deployment on 250 ships is initially by CD. After the initial deployment updating of ship systems is carried out electronically by transmissions via satellite.

All safety related incidents onboard ships are reported for analysis. i-Forms are used for collecting data onboard which is then transmitted via satellite to a land web based Safety Reporting System.

SMS designed the web application that is used by the Group for safety reporting and analysis.
