Demonstrating compliance with various standards involves carrying out inspections and internal audits on a regular basis. Where multiple locations are involved with certified standards for Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment management systems, the planning, execution, recording, and follow up of inspections is a significant management task.

One of our clients needed help to manage this type of situation.

SMS designed a system to centralise the audit management process allowing many departments to coordinate their resources efficiently. A web based planning and reporting system allows compliance managers to schedule audits whilst a portable auditor's module is used onsite.

Once the relevant data has been gathered, it may be uploaded back into the system thereby allowing management to get an overview of how a particular department is working and any problem areas they have encountered.
